Mega Man movie in the works
Capcom and Fox have announced an upcoming movie featuring the blue hero. While it seems that so many classic movies are being remade, to low reviews, Mega Man has the potential to be an outstanding blast from the past. As seen on Geek.com:
Everyone’s favorite power-stealing video game icon is on his way to the big screen. 20th Century Fox, Chernin Entertainment, and Capcom have announced plans to make a Mega Man movie. At this point, there’s no word on writers or directors, but the producers do have the impressive rebooted Planet of the Apes franchise under the belts.
As classic video game fans know, Mega Man started out as a robotic lab assistant to Dr. Light and Dr. Wiley until the latter stole the former’s designs, intent on creating evil robots. Mega Man, also known as Rock, finds himself facing off against these villains on a fairly regular basis, gaining their abilities as he defeats them.
