USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Wins Internet With Star Wars Spoof
The crew of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower won the Internet today for creating an epic Star Wars spoof “Sea Wars: The Ike Awakens” movie trailer that included a mop bucket “R2D2”,a “Land Speeder”, a lightsaber on the flight deck, and even a couple TIE fighters at the end. Finally returning to sea after nearly two years at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, the crew decided to have a little fun.

Norfolk, Va. – The crew of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower wins the internet today with their trailer Sea Wars: The Force Awakens.
The mock trailer comes complete with a panicked-looking sailor, a light saber on the flight deck and F/A-18s battling TIE fighters.
The Ike recently returned to sea after spending nearly two years at Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
Some may say the Navy has too much time on their hands, others may say they just enjoy their jobs. Either way, it made for a pretty entertaining trailer.
