Ryan B. Flowers of Galac-Tac has been making Boba Fett inspired cosplay armor for a couple years. Here are some photos of his work that have circulated around the internet. It has garnered massive interest in the Airsoft community.
Well now he collaborated with Surefire, SOG Knives & Tools, AR500 Armor, Team Wendy , Armasight, Inc., Wilcox Industries Corp., and TEA Headsets to make a ballistic version of his armor.

From airsoft designs to actual ballistic armor, this stuff is pretty badass. As for functionality however, this might present a couple issues as far as peripheral vision is concerned along with the ability to have situational awarenss. This might be better suited for a novelty item, or as it was originally intended, for airsoft…either way, we kinda want it.
All in all, this is still pretty awesome and is sure to get Boba Fett fans everywhere excited, and it’s definitely well done. We are somewhat disappointed that it doesn’t come with jet pack though!
A painted Crye Airframe with Chops might not be quite as accurate to the character, but it would be fairly faithful while improving SA and vision.
I would buy a set, and probably even wear it in the field. After all, full head protection would be worth a bit of narrowed vision, and they could also expand field of vision some.
Need, not want. How much???
Just like the Fett you will not be able to use the scope on your rifle. Is this for real? It looks like the much hated airsoft is trying to be real again….
Is the company just fishing to see how many they could sell if this is real?
The crown of the helmet needs to be able to stop bullets but the sides only need to stop frag possibly 3/4 the protection level of the helmet to save weight. The glass needs to be equal in protection to the sides as well. If you are going to be breathing in the helmet it needs to be ventilated to keep the eye pieces from fogging and if you are going to do that you should make it CBRN compatible.

Instead of slots to look out of use cameras and a panoramic screen inside the helmet. You could even see what’s behind you!
