Former NFL Lineman To Join Army National Guard
Former NFL Offensive Lineman Daryn Colledge has recently announced on his Twitter account that he will be joining the Army National Guard. Part of his decision to join the Guard instead of going active duty had to do with the ability to stay local and close to his family.
Colledge, 34, started 137 games in his nine-year career with the Green Bay Packers, Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins. He retired after the 2014 season.
At one point in his career, Colledge started 122 straight games. He earned a championship ring with the Green Bay Packers in their Super Bowl XLV triumph over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Packers selected him in the second round of the 2006 draft out of Boise State.
