IF We Must, Then Please Remember

IF we must go to war…IF we plunge ourselves into yet another conflict, please remember the wisdom of the ages. Remember that there are mothers, fathers, husbands, sons, daughters, wives…these men and women are not mere pawns, they are people and they matter so please, if we must go to war…let us remember:
“War is cruelty. There’s no use trying to reform it. The crueler it is, the sooner it will be over.” – William Tecumseh Sherman
Abjectly hated throughout Georgia to this day, the man knew how to make an impact, he was cruel and he was violent, and it made an impact that the South most definitely felt. If we go to war in Iran, or for shit’s sake anywhere else because holy dickballs shit seems to want to pop off everywhere, remember to be violent enough, to be cruel enough, fast enough to our enemies. End them fast, no more 20-30 year war bullshit. Fight it and end it decisively leaving no doubts as to who the victor is.
“Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.” – Sun Tzu
We’ve changed course so many times it’s hard to define what victory was in Afghanistan or Iraq. Let’s make a plan and hold to it for what victory looks like. If we do this, if we define a win and have planned on how to get that win against all odds, doing the first part should be easy…relatively speaking.
“Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity.”
“No poor bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making other bastards die for their country.”

AMEN BROTHER From a VIETNAM VET!!!!
Amen. If we must, win and do it quick. Don’t make friends. Make an impact. Send a message. Be a damn superpower again and be super. No more 2 decade wars.
In response to it being hard to define what victory looked like in Iraq and Afghanistan, you are right. I don’t even feel that we won. Did we?
If we must fight again, make it a quick, decisive, dancing-in-the-streets victory. Let Americans FEEL like they won.
I don’t want a war, bur if there must be one, let it be here (relatively speaking — literally, whichever part of Asia doesn’t blink first) and let it be now and let it be won, so that the grandchildren can grow up in the relative peace of, at most, a cold war, as I did.
Agree wholeheartedly! If you haven’t been in the shit, you know not what you speak of.
Just…Amen.
Absolutely correct! We must stop tying our fighters hands and allow them to win! There’s no place in the world that America can’t go in and win quickly and decisively. We just need those who lead our men into battle to allow them to do whatever it takes!!!
