The Travesty And Abuse Of Red Flag Laws
Categories: News
Ahh, Massachusets, one of the birthplaces of the American brand of liberty. How far hast thou fallen from once beautiful overtures of freedom and liberty? Where once patriots dumped tea into a harbor over unfair taxation, now it revokes a right it has not the authority to revoke of a man who stood as a stalwart defender both abroad and domestically of our ideals. Red Flag Laws. No due process. No thought. Just confiscation.
Meet Stephen Nichols, an 84-year-old Korean War veteran and veteran Law Enforcement Officer with nearly 60 years of service. Stephen, like most hard-dick Communist killing badasses, decided he wouldn’t go quietly into the night and spend his retired years sitting on a couch. No, once again he served his community, as a crossing guard at Tisbury School.
Editors note: I’d have been honored to have this man watch over my kids as a crossing guard.
Stephen though is the latest to fall victim to Red Flag Laws, of which, we once had hope that it’d be a nothing legislation, but have since grown wise and seen that it will not only be used but abused in the most profane ways.
See, Stephen was not too thrilled that the School Resource Officer (SRO), left his post at the school while children were arriving, to get his morning coffee at the local convenient store. While eating at a restaurant, he lamented that he thought those actions were in poor form, as both a law enforcement and military veteran, Stephen thought it best that if your job is to secure a location, you ought to be at the location.
Stephen said that in the time it took the SRO to get his coffee, a school shooting or another tragic event could occur, due to the SRO’s absence. A waitress overheard this and reported him to the police. Nichols was then fired from his job and followed to his home where he was ordered to give up his weapons. His concealed carry permit was also revoked and taken from him.
Now, this all seems really absurd, right? So we kind of want to withhold our knee jerk reaction…as much as we can…but, can we say the following statement and then wait for everything to come out?
What in the ever-living fuck Massachusets?

He has to fight this in the courts. Course he’ll loose in state court. So he will have to take it to the SCOTUS. I would also, get a law suite against the State, the City and the School for millions of dollars. Also, include the LEO, and the waitress in the suit. They all violated and infringed on his, 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 9th Amendments to the Bill of Rights. It’s time to stop this shit now before more innocent people are killed due to the illegal confiscation of firearems by LEOs.
What BS…. No red flag laws were used in this instance. It was a Police Chief over reacting and who failed to follow any laws or procedures and fired his employee. He had no right to confiscate the weapons. He may or may not have been able to confiscate the weapons had he followed Red Flag procedures.
So don’t use this situation to shoot down Red Flag laws.
Actually, this is a perfect example of Red Flag Laws. The waitress reported the man, and under the guise of Red Flag laws, his guns were stripped from him, unlawfully.
Thats some bs the sro needs to be fired for not being at his duty station . if he wanted coffee and breakfast he should’ve got up earlier so he could do those things . hes suppose to protect those children
Ridiculous, the man served his whole life to get this kinda treatment. We are living in bleak times
These new Red Flag Law are just the beginning. More problems are on the horizon.
Having a little trouble following the story. So he sees the SRO away from his post at a crucial time then I got lost. Did he complain to the PD, the SRO, the wait staff at a diner? Did he mention it to a third party at the diner? What action did Mr. Nichols take that caused him to be fired and have his right to carry taken away. Was he carrying at the time?
Unfortunately it will take months to select the right case to the Supreme Court to be certain it will be won and address the point of law necessary to repeal these new Red Flag Laws. As previously pointed out, this may not be the right case even though the end result seems way out of line.
Sorry, I write funny sometimes. He made a comment while at a restaurant about the SRO leaving his post and the waitress reported him.
Today, there are numerous websites, group-meetings, attorneys, etc. that are dedicated to fighting anothe for of red-flag laws…..CPS.
Anyone that has ever dealt with CPS knows, Red-Flag Laws don’t benefit anyone but politicians. They decide to take your children…we know how well THAT agency works. CPS goes in your house and counts dirty dishes in the sink, looks in your refrigerator to see if the milk is out of date, or if the kids dirty socks smell…while down the street, some high parent is beating the hell out of THEIR child.
That’s how Red Flag Laws work, or better put, DON’T WORK.
With Red Flag laws, it originally begins with law enforcement. But before long, the political minority of the mighty self righteous insist that law enforcement is handicapped by so many laws, that only a designated agency can handle the matter effectively. An agency operating according to civil procedure, which requires only a PREDOMINANCE of the evidence, not a unanimous vote by a jury.
What’s more, would YOU as a member of such an agency, be willing to go, UNARMED into a person’s home, to take THEIR guns from Them???
Red Flag Laws DO NOT WORK!!! TELL YOUR STATE LEGISLATORS That you WILL NOT turn in your guns…if you have any in your home! And how many Americans DONT have guns? They did. But they were STOLEN. So, there is nothing to surrender. So, good bye..better luck at my neighbors’ house! He doesn’t have any either!
