Hong Kong Universities Prepare For Battle

Categories: News

The fight is probably already underway. After last night’s clashes at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Baptist University, classes were either ended for the semester or held online. Why? Students were literally preparing for battle. Last night, the clashes intensified again with police firing hundreds of tear gas canisters, and students hurling gasoline bombs.

This morning barricades were erected, a photo of students behind said barricade with makeshift weapons and a bow was seen on the New York Times this morning. The reports of the students gathering whatever materials they can use to fashion either weapons or barricades have only increased.

YO. THE STUDENTS ARE SETTING UP DEFENSIVE FORTIFICATIONS AND ARE ARMED WITH BOWS AND ARROWS. THEIR ‘GIVE A FUCK’ IS BUSTED.

It seems as if the time for talking is done in the eyes of most of the citizens of Hong Kong. They have to know that the Chinese government will not capitulate to their will…well..anything is possible, but it’s highly unlikely that the Chinese government will capitulate to the “5 demands and not one less” unofficial chant of the protestors. They can’t. That’s the whole thing about authoritarian regimes. The state must trump all. It must be more important than any human rights or any form of decency to the people it rules over with an iron fist.

So when we see the five demands as referenced in yesterday’s article, we know, they know…it’s a pipe dream. There is only one way a tyrant will bow to the people. Force.

When twenty-five percent of the people in a city of over 7 million protest and when the protests have been going on for nearly 6 months and when police have shot two protestors and when people en masse refuse to obey a mask ban…look…It could deescalate, but it’d be like calling your wife a hoe and then trying to get with her sister right in front of her, yeah it could deescalate, but we all know what’s going to happen. The shit ain’t gonna end well. There is gonna be a fight. How one-sided that fight is, well that’s yet to be determined.

So like, godspeed Hong Kongers. Sorry, we didn’t get you guns…yet.

Know what we're sayin fam?

  2. So very sad to see Hong Kongers willing to fight guns with bows & arrows like my ancestors did, but really glad to see the fire of liberty in them. I’m sure these students don’t need safe spaces to save their damaged feelings. With American students & Americans in general so quick to give away the rights that the Hong Kongers are willing to fight and, therefore, die for, I really wish they had weapons and training to equal the playing field.
