Duane France is a retired Army Noncommissioned Officer and clinical mental health counselor serving veterans in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After twenty-two years of service and five combat and operational deployments, he obtained his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and carried on his mission of taking care of his troops after leaving the service.
Duane is currently serving in several roles, all focused on veteran mental health and wellness. He is the Director of Veteran Services for the Family Care Center, LLC, a private outpatient mental health counseling agency serving veterans and their families in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is also the Executive Director of the Colorado Veterans Health and Wellness Agency, a 501(c)3 Nonprofit professionally affiliated with the Family Care Center. Through his nonprofit work, Duane and his team provide clinical mental health counseling to those veterans who have barriers in accessing licensed and culturally competent mental health professionals. He is also the editor and primary contributor to the Head Space and Timing blog, and host of the Head Space and Timing podcast, each of which can be found at www.veteranmentalhealth.com.
Duane lives in Fountain, Colorado with his wife and two children. He is extremely focused on bring a message of mental health and wellness to the veteran community, and is passionate about helping other veterans find the strength within themselves to build a stable and successful life after their service.
