Old School Beatdown 5/5 (17)

In the last year, we’ve seen the likes of ISIS crumble under the watchful eye of Secretary of Defense James Mattis (all hail his name). With the remaining militants hiding out and putting up fierce, but ultimately futile resistance, the Pentagon’s top senior enlisted man mixed no words when speaking about the ultimate and final demise of the terror group.

“If they choose not to surrender, then we will kill them with extreme prejudice…by dropping bombs on them, shooting them in the face, or beating them to death with our entrenching tools.”

We’ve stated before that war is horrible. It mangles, twists and deforms body, mind, and spirit, but with such great evil present in the world, this fight was one we needed to have. Army Command Sgt. Maj. John Wayne Troxell spoke bluntly on the issue regarding the last holdouts on Facebook.

“ISIS needs to understand that the Joint Force is on orders to annihilate them. So, they have two options should they decide to come up against the United States, our allies and partners: surrender or die!

If they surrender, we will safeguard them to their detainee facility cell, provide them chow, a cot and due process.”

This, this is the type of resolve many have been clamoring for for years. If we do decide there is no other option on the table than to show up and fight, then our victory needs to be decisive and without compromise. An old school beatdown if you will.

Old school beatdown

It’s pretty cool that the guy saying all this ‘John Wayne’ type stuff is ironically named John Wayne, granted it’s his middle name, but still pretty cool.  Major kudos to you Sgt. Major for saying what James Mattis has been saying for years. ‘Kill the enemy until they are so tired of dying that they leave us and our freedoms alone’ (James Mattis). We don’t know what the future holds for our armed forces, but it is comforting to know that there is leadership like this still around.
