This world is tricky. There is the realm of what should be and what is. Often those two realms do not co-exist, there simply is what is. However every so often a lucky star falls from the heavens and allows everyone to live in the realm of what should be. Such is the case with Enlisted Nine Fight Club. This past Sunday the company celebrated its fifth year in business. On Friday they will remember the loss of a brother ten years ago.Through the rarest of fate, Enlisted Nine Fight Club was able to get their logo on the back of Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Number 32 Ford Fusion for Go Fas Racing. Along with the logo was the text;
Racing for William
KIA March 15, 2008
Bronze Star, Purple Heart
Matt DiBenedetto, the driver of the Number 32 car, phoned Daniel O'Brien personally to tell him how honored he would be to have his brother on the car.
To quote Robert Burns, 'The best laid schemes of mice and men, Go often askew', but in this case, fortunate timing and the purest intent paved the way for something truly special as William was honored around that track. Time and time again, people were reminded of the sacrifice of a brave soul. That while we enjoy our peace and celebrate our success, we know full well that it wouldn't be possible without men like William who volunteered to be the shield, to be the sword.
Many like William have paid the ultimate price and as you honor him, and remember him, you honor all the fallen who have given the ultimate sacrifice.
On behalf of American Grit & Grunt Style, we thank you Go Fas Racing and Matt Dibenedetto for doing something so kind for our business partner and brother in arms. You have truly honored a hero and a brother. For that, we are forever grateful.
